Yay! I can't wait to see Murray throw 30 bubble screens a game.

I have to think there is no way sumlin doesn't work with spav to fix the offense this offseason

Honestly I am fine with any DC at this point, anyone, as long as Sumlin tells Malik in time to get him:

quote:

"I may not like Texas A&M because they suck right now. I may not like Texas because they suck. But both have so much potential," Jefferson said. "That's what I'm looking at now. To be honest, A&M has twice as much potential."

He says this after witnessing Missouri gash A&M's injury-depleted defense for 335 rushing yards in a rain-soaked 34-27 win. Jefferson was infuriated. He thought Aggies players looked lazy, almost complacent.

"My class, the class that's going to A&M, they're going to have a lot of heart," Jefferson said. "They're going to change that."

Why didn't he work to fix it after 59-0? Why wait for the offseason?

How much work does it take to walk down to Spav's office and say "Hey Jake, no more than 3 bubble screen passes a game for the rest of the season, ok? Thanks. Also, I'm going to need you to come in on Sunday."

He and Garrett can go Varsity Blues on the rest of the defense.

Texas A&M's DC vacancy became real issue this week and cause for concern for Malik. He told Kyler it could be dealbreaker.

Seriously though if we get a wonk wonk hire in two weeks and Malik goes to UCLA with his bud becuase of the timing, then that will be way worse than a wonk wonk hire alone. I could be wrong though.

The search is going great, and obviously you’d like to get somebody as quickly as possible,” Sumlin said during a Liberty Bowl press conference with West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen in Memphis. “But to me, it’s not about the time, it’s about the person. What we’re trying to do and what we want to do is get the right guy, regardless of the time (it takes).”

McNeal tweet
Someone asked if he and Malik are announcing together. He responded with three thumbs up,

Edit: He wasn't responding to anything. Could be indicating he knows what Malik will choose tomorrow

they did work to fix it after the Bama game and it did get significantly better once Kenny was benched.

They weren't throwing near the amount of bubble screens you guys act like either.

Hell, the biggest problem was NOT the play calling but the WRs dropping passes and lack of execution on downfield blocking. That isn't something you can easily fix mid season.

They really were...75% of our series went like this: 1st down- bubble screen, 2nd down- outside run with an RB other than Trey Williams, 3rd down- failed midrange pass

I get the bubble screens: that's just this offensive philosophy. What truly vexes me is Carson outside over and over and over again. First of all, he's a N-S guy. Secondly, Trey Williams IS that outside guy! It's not as if we didn't have a fast, shifty guy on the roster who could make the corner and just HAD to run Carson on those plays instead! Every time we did that I just cringed. It was like watching Fran repeatedly call option to the short side all over again,

I blame Anderson and McKinney just as much. ol run blocking was not great and sometimes when there were holes they weren't hit by the rb's. I hate the rb rotation though
