Post your thoughts...

Obviously a 5-1 start falling to a 5-7 finish is disappointing at any level, but it's a step in the right direction for Stoops and Co. He's moving UK in the right direction.

The offense looked good at times, and bad at times, unimaginative. Good luck to Neal Brown, but I'm looking forward to a change.

The defense looks good at times and bad at times. You can tell they are evolving into a SEC defense, and adding depth will only help.

Special teams needs a lot of work, and likely a new coach. Will see what happens.

Will most more later, but add your thoughts, both UK fans and others.

I think most of it would just get bleeped out.

While I expected less and should be happy with more the final 5 min of the game have left a very sour taste in my mouth. UK gets the go ahead score, and not 1 but 2 dumb plays (penalty and dropping the INT) that keeps the Line Beards drive alive and suddenly I am transported back to old UK and their ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. It would have been great to have UK be the sole winner of the ACC vs SEC games instead the loss and now the SEC is 0 and ACC is 4 for 2014.

Clearly a low and time to hit the bottle.

ps, Women also lost to a 5-2 B1G team (who lost to Oklahoma and South Florida, who UK beat) so there goes the perfecto.

I am hopeful the good at times, bad at times is just a characteristic of a young football team and young coaching staff. I expect more consistency next season.

While special teams definitely needs a lot of work it definitely looks as if we have ourselves a solid kicker for the next few seasons.

And now we await the new OC hire and cross our fingers for Damien Harris on signing day.

Obviously would've liked to have won more on the backend of the schedule, but I can't complain much as I didn't expect more than 4 wins this season. And I definitely didn't expect them to possibly beat UofL either (So. Damn. Close.).

I really like the progression I saw defensively this season. Despite secondary woes in some coverage issues, they did a fine job in the INT department this season. Forrest really stood out at that linebacker spot and should be even better next season. I worry a little bit about Dupree and Smith leaving but I think there's some talent back there to soften the blow. I really look forward to watching the NFL Draft and seeing Bud's name called. He's going to be a hell of a player and I think Stoops sliding him back and forth between DE and LB will not only do great things for him in his development on the pro level, but is going to be a great recruiting tool as well.

I feel like special teams from an individual aspect is ok. The kicking game improved as the season progressed and we're in a better position from a returner aspect than we were last season. I truly feel like they're a decent coach away from having a solid squad. The mistakes they made were definitely coaching issues. So hopefully Brown takes Naviar with him to Troy.

I was a bit disappointed in the offense down the stretch. Towles obviously didn't play well but I think part of that was Brown not putting him in a very good position to play well and the offensive line folding like a lawn chair. Like everyone else I'm interested in seeing who they pick up as OC and what kind of offense will be run. Boom Williams was such a bright spot this season too. That kid is going to be a hell of a ballplayer.

On a side note, any UAB players on the UK radar?
