Misleading title. He was right. They were going to get jumped as long as Bama won out.

At least he didn't leave me on the hook sweating the final poll.

that's what I have been saying all year. The only team that was able to not win the SEC and still make the playoffs would be Alabama. Even when Auburn had 1 loss I stuck with that. The committee was put together to keep two teams in the same conference out of the playoffs unless chaos absolutely ensues.

He should be fired for that statement. That attitude either got back to the players and could have lowered their motivation, or he told the players they had a chance and now they're like "wtf he lied". What a dumb statement

I think there's a strong chance TCU or OSU leap frogged them, but the committee is probably glad they don't have to worry about it now.

OSU lost its qb and TCU could still lose or not move up. Dumb statement.

That right there is another example of one of the reasons that many UF fans don't want Dan to return to G'ville.

He's stuck in Starkville whether he wants to admit it or not.

He thought State was good enough at 11-1, just thought they would get edged out by a couple of conference champs...not a crazy thought. I agree.
