Good Lord we over-do the stadium music

And the Cochran pump-ups
But it's fun. I've been going to pretty much every game since the 90s and the atmosphere has never been this fun. It really hit me last year at the LSU game and then tonight.... We are a party stadium now, like those Big 10 schools. Jump around.

Agreed, it's a little weird sometimes

I love it and everyone around me in the student section seems to agree.
The last 2 home SEC games have been 2 of the most fun I've been to in my 5 years here. Today tops them all.

Yeah, a bit overdone but I like most of the less contemporary music they play. Can't have too much AC-DC or Stones or whichever Boston Irish hip hop group did "Jump Around."

I guess I'm getting old but I agree it's overdone. Don't have to fill every single moment with blaring music. I took my dad to the Miss State game and it would've been nice if we could've carried on a conversation as we stood at field level an hour before kick off but the music was just too loud and there was never a break. Like I said, guess I'm getting too old.

I do enjoy it, especially when, for most of my life, Alabama football had the stigma of being one of the less thrilling environments in the SEC. I think expanding the stadium helped, but probably new blood that is now in charge of the PA system were given the orders to make this place come alive by any means necessary.
Major props since I can remember vividly getting yelled at by olds for simply standing and yelling on defense. Now the whole place just attacks the opponent and if they don't Cochran or C-Murder will get their asses up.

Yep. Every time I have sat outside the student I have seen this happen, until Saturday night. I was amazing to see.

Yes to all of this. I agree, 100% agree. The stadium needs to be a violent atmosphere for our opponents as well as a constant reminder to our players that they have our support.
If people want to sip on cocktails and socialize you might want to watch the game...literally anywhere else in the rest of the world.
There's a reason why CNS has been thanking the fans for the support and its because the motivation and positive energy does wonders for the team.

Hells Bells is a perfect song pre-play before a kickoff or critical 3rd/4th down stop. Gets you jacked up.

All you have to do is watch how the players respond, they can play whatever they want. I saw our guys just stand there, then some rap or jam song come on and they start lighting the fire. Rashan Evans gets down lol

i've been in bryant-denny when all that was there were the old dont bother me, dont be to loud, dont stand up, dont whistle, dont yell, dont shake a pom pom, dont dont dont crowd. you know the ones that dont want to be woke up til halftime. the ones that take up space and are useless as gameday fans. and wont even consider giving up their seasonn tickets to someone that actually loves being there and would be a great gameday fan.
now obviously thats a bit over exaggerated, but i have seen it rather dead in there. then i seen the ms st game and it was fantabulous. they get my 2 thumbs up for the experience upgrade.

If the players like it and the fans respond to it, I hope they keep doing it. It was badass seeing some of the players dance on the sidelines during the A&M game. Kind of makes me want to scrounge up a ticket next season to experience this atmosphere in person.
