Wow I just noticed no Bama players.

Surprising how many of these are on bad teams.

Alabama sucks.
This. I'm surprised no one from BAMA was on there

Did a Mizzou player lead the league in sacks again?
Oh my....

You rarely find an Alabama defensive player in those categories.

Will miss Martell

Just saw this posted on another board. Is this not an acceptable thread iyo?

Lets see how Bama fans can spin this to mean stats don't matter, when it's all they are using in the Amari Cooper thread

Al torlling asside here in a moment of honest discourse:
Yea, your depth is pretty crazy. I noticed the rotations you all have on the DL. Thats impressive. Must be nice to have that kind of depth. I think Mizzou has better "talent" on the ends as starters but your depth is legit.

Wha? I'm not sure Alabama has had a single player lead any of those categories in a Nick Saban defense. Did one night cancel 8 years of defensive success in the minds of some of you?

Really excited to see him in his senior year. Stepped it up this year and was a bright spot in that LB corp.

He really impressed me when I watched UK.

More stops mea less tackles.

This.
Defensive stats come down to player talent and number of opportunities. Players on teams that run hunh offense will have more possessions on both sides of the ball generally. Also, a team that can't force points will have more opportunities for tackles and sacks.
"Sometimes the best defensive is a really good offense"
Not trying to take away anything from the players.

That's usually how defensive stats work. Bad teams have poor depth so starters stay on the field longer and bad teams spend more time playing defense than offense typically.

Do you think Ray will go pro this year?
