Had to overcome adversity. Things weren't looking good and Im sure he was nearly benched. That being said he kept his composure and helped our team redeem the game from last year.

Roll Tide onto the SECCG!

As a day one Blake supporter I must admit, I gave up on him today. Glad he proved me wrong. Sims and Cooper can set the college football world on fire in these upcoming weeks.

The guy is just a fighter and was amazing in the second half, no one in Bama history could have done a better job. I'm proud of him.

They were crowding our receivers all night until we started going over the top.

Glad we made the adjustment at halftime, over rhe top and blitzing a corner / saftey to the jet sweep side often.

Sims made terrible decisions tonight. Bama is aided by having the best receiver in college football who is constantly getting open. Regains of completion percentage weer were very lucky to pull that game out.

I was always a team Blake guy and I was hollering for Coker at the beginning of the third quarter. I said the same thing in the LSU game though. I believe Blake had managed to surpass anyone's expectations for him.

nothing I said was untrue. Don't be a bitch because someone disagrees with you or has a different perspective.

Sims is one of my all - time favorites now. He is living proof of what hard work will accomplish. He could have given up when we brought Coker in but it made him work harder and harder. That is a brilliant example to use when talking to younger football players.

Was really glad to see him get his composure back. Tough to do after a half like he had.

Just as important, imo, is how the team stayed focused and rallied back behind him. Nobody pointed fingers or gave up on him. Also speaks a lot about the type of teammate he and the rest of this team is this year.

Blake is not the hero that we deserve, but he's the hero that we need right now.

Never gave up on Blake, but if Saban made the move to yank him, I would have understood. AU was sitting on the short routes and Blake was forcing the ball, not being smart. Awesome to see him overcome turning into Jamies Winston for a part of the game and lead the team to the win. Those turnovers cost is 21 pts. Without them, the game isn't close.

Sims does the same shite every game that he has all year long. He stares down receivers and he doesn't use his reads. He has gotten better as the year has progressed. However, as we all know, when you have Cooper; you don't have to be THAT good. Throwing a ball down field to a wide open Cooper is money to any QB.

What I am grateful for is Blake Sims ability to scramble.

I agree with you. Sims made horrible decisions. Some want to blame Kiffin but the plays were there all night and if Sims can not execute it does not matter. And to the ones that think Cooper was not the reason for Sims success oh well.

Now I am not saying Sims has not done well and he does a great job of never getting rattled it seems. He continues to move forward no matter what has happened. Unlike AJ who once he got rattled his leadership became pointing the finger.

Thing I like most about Sims is the team supports him.

It is sink or swim with Sims at this point. Coker will only see the field if Sims is hurt. If Sims would have been pulled no way you could start him next week against Mizzou. His confidence would be shot. You have to ride it out now for better or worse. We are way past the point of no return but this team wins as a team so one player a little off has not stopped us yet.
