Stats are great, Clemson has even better stats. But no honest person would say that Clemson has the best D in America. Nor could this years Clemson team have beat any of the last 5 years of Gamecocks.

The stats are what they are, statistically, it was one of the best years ever for offense. When we didn't get the stats though, it cost us those 3 games. We had some bad decisions against mizzou, but Thompson melted the kentucky game and the tennessee game was all on the defense...they allowed 14 points in under 3 minutes.

CIYE offense has jack shite to do with Ward. I realize the defense was young and the DL sucked donkey arse but damn at some point you gotta blame those deficiencies on Ward, manager of the defense. Gotta expect more out of Deke and Brown. That falls on Ward if they aren't improving. Damn if that game didnt piss the hell out of me. I was right outside the damn stadium at my tater family's tailgate and got endless ribbing for hours after. frickin defense, better improve next season.
