The mental toughness of this team is what impresses me most & has all year. The guys' "never quit" attitude is beyond admirable & what has caused them to "turn the corner" (which I think we have despite today's close loss.) Losing such close heartbreakers against A&M, Bama, & State could've understandably caused many teams to give up, but they didn't. They believed in themselves & their talent & kept grinding it out. That's all you can ask from the players. They have done their jobs for the most part all year. And B.Allen moved up a couple of notches in my book today, although I don't agree with the decision to leave him in. I don't agree with most of the decisions of one person in particular, (CHANEY), but I won't go into that here. I've made it pretty clear what I think of him & I just want to give the guys my appreciation & gratitude in this post for giving it everything they had each game & for their unwavering tenacity & resilience. ... So, WPS & hope we kick the shite outta whomever we go bowling with.

7. That toss sweep.. that play is for Korliss. That's Korliss play. he has the speed to make it work the rest don't. we need a speed RB in the worst way.

I think we will have some next year.
Regardless, there are some speed guys on the team, or good enough to run wide plays like that, but it took until game 12 of year two to finally use one of them in Cornelius take the ball out of Hatcher's hand on the end around.
Chaney doesn't get a pass for "not having the personnel" to make his plays work when he is the one putting the wrong personnel in for the plays.
Its almost as bad as Petrino thinking Broderick Green was good at running up the middle in short distance situations or Nutt think Hillis was a good punt returner.

The program is heading in the right direction, that's for sure.
It won't happen quick enough for some, but they will be quick enough to jump back on the bandwagon when it does happen.
This year's red-shirt class will go along ways in building up depth on both sides of the ball. This year's recruiting class will be filled with guys ready to contribute and ready to start working towards contributing in the future (red shirting).

I'm still trying to fix my communication problem. Hope I'm getting it now.

About today? Disappointed. We should have won that game, and I believe we could have if we would have put AA in when became apparent that BA was just not there.
Over the season, fairly pleased. Good progress, but still some head scratching questions. Defense has come along outstandingly. Offense seemed to regress as the season went along. We need playmakers. We need an OC. We need to upgrade at QB. AC3 took a step backwards this year.
Recruiting is going well at the moment, some from the last class will be ready to help next year hopefully.
Overall, things are looking up. My biggest concern going forward is Jim Chaney.

Should feel pretty damn good. Have beaten some quality teams. Have taken other quality teams down to the wire and arguably could have won them. The fact that the discussion is about a play here or there or a call here or there speaks volumes. For a look at what it could be during a rebuilding process, look at Mizzou basketball. It's not a play or call here or there.
Y'all are already hell for teams to play and it will only get worse for us, better for y'all next year.
Great game today Hog fans and hope y'all carry it over into the bowl game.
