Does a 2-6 conf. record get you banned from bowls?

I know we made it to the Peach Bowl after the 2008 season with a 3-5 conference record, but would a bowl accept worse than that?

It shouldn't, if you're in the SEC West in 2014.

Not really... 1 is 3-5 and the other is 2-6

yea it was the chick fil a bowl, which used to be the peach bowl.
did they change the name that year or before? it was the peach bowl when LSU played Miami in 2005, so I know it had to be between 2006 and 2008, just don't know the exact year.
