Anybody see that?

Looked almost identical to Herschel running over Bill Bates in the 1980 Tennessee game. Pollack mentioned the comparison immediately, and Reece Davis did an impression of the Munson call.

Where's the gif?

It was a hell of a run, but it's not close to herschel's.

-It was our first game of the year, nobody knew about herschel. It was everyone's first exposure to him, unlike pretender LF who threw up the heisman pose after rushing for like 70 yards against a 1AA team
-He trucked bates, then ran through 2 others into the endzone, no bounce out
-LF lowered a shoulder that knocked the guy down, then ran to the left. Herschel squared up and flat out ran straight OVER bates. Far more a show of dominance
-We were down 15-0 at the time

fantastic run, but not on herschel's level

Also Bill bates was a pro bowler.

It was a nice poor man's version of that play, though.

Meh, all I can think of was what a shitty attempt at a tackle. All he did was bend over and take it.

They just mentioned this during the game. Crazy. Great run.

Is it just me or does Fournette have no moves?

Don't get me wrong. I prefer north-south runners more to guys that dance at the line, but it seems like he rarely makes defenders miss.

Wouldn't put LF in the same sentence with Herschel much less Chubb
He's big and fast with horrible vision and runs with a very high center
of gravity. One of the most overrated players in the conference IMO

A poor mans Tim Worley at best.

It looks like he puts on horse blinders and just picks a direction.

Fournette reminds me of Jasper Sanks more than Herschel, tbh.

Faster than Jasper...this is the best he's played all year but from all
his pre season hype and ESPN dick sucking you woulda thought he'd
have broken HW's record by now...Chubb gained 200+ yards vs the
nations best defense in what? His 5th SEC game and 2nd game he started?

It's taken LF 10 games to get up to snuff in SEC play.

I don't think anybody anywhere is comparing Fournette to Herschel. Just that the two plays have similarities.......

Palmer just mentioned him as a future Heisman candidate and
the HW comparison was made by him and Pollack although
somewhat tempered by Pollack a little later,

Just sick of the how the ESPN hype machine has been propping
this guy up since his first carry this year,

Bill Bates was slipping and lost his balance on that Herschel play
