The difference is one would assume most of your family is from South Carolina, thus no one could blame you for hating them.

The OP has a point, I cannot blame it all on the in-laws, my bunch is just as bad. I can actually enjoy most of them one on one, but in a group setting...nope.

Recruitingjunkie 3 Step Program:

1. Come up with an excuse to not have people over unless you like them. Be creative. Sick and nauseous, want alone time with immediate family, propose going over to their house.

2. If you have no choice but for them to come. Invest in a fridge with a lock on it. Empty out anything in your fridge in your kitchen food, beer, liquor, or anything you want to keep into the alternate fridge with a lock.

3. Unplug all cable and pretend the TV is out in the living room, say you're going to lay down for a little while after you eat because you're tired. Take a 12 pack from locked fridge into your room, lock the door, turn LSU vs aTm and Texas and TCU on. SECRant, Football, Beer, no nagging douche bags, and you create no conflict.
