I supposed you've not heard of the Kick?

Did you forget the 2009 Iron Bowl already?

Are there any Alabama comebacks that are media glorified?

Bama has traditionally been built to control the game. So if we get down, we don't get too much usually (not just lately but from a historical point over the last 50 years). So, our comebacks are not quite like Frank Reich type comebacks when we have that one game or two every year.

When we win, it's not a big deal because we're always expected to win even when we're ranked like #17 or some shite like that against a top 5 team.

No, because it really just illustrates the flaws in the system college football uses to determine a national championship. An undefeated team can get left out like Auburn did in 2004 and a team that doesn't even win their own division can get in like bammer did in 2011

That's what every fan says to explain their team's lack of NC success compared to a more accomplished rival.

Or perhaps it proves that no two years are alike? And Alabama wasn't the first team to get into the national title game without winning its division. 2001 Nebraska did exactly that when they got blown out in their final regular season game against Colorado. The only reason why we don't remember is because their opponent in the Rose Bowl that year was arguably the most talented team in college football history.

This is an honest question

Alabama has very sound, game controlling wins and Auburn has football magic it seems..

2009 was a good comeback but these are not "epic" like the Auburn comebacks.

Auburn has always had the scrappy, little brother attitude. Without it, they would be a middle of the road SEC team. The need to compete against and stay even with Alabama makes them a historically good program. Without that attitude they'd be on par with MSU or Ole Miss. I appreciate the Auburn little brother mindset, its part of the great formula for this rivalry.

Amazing how fans of teams with little or no history of success always want to disregard the accomplishments of those who have a rich history.

quote:

As much as bammers such as you act like you have always dominated the game, you have a losing record against Auburn both pre Bear Bryant and post Bear Bryant. I am not sure there are many people on here who can remember his time as coach, so that could very well explain the lack of memorable comebacks by Alabama

Well considering Bear Bryant was coach at Bama for over 20% of the seasons Bama has played football and an even larger % of the iron bowls it is kinda hard to exclude his record, but go for it if it makes you feel better.

Btw you suck at making an argument.
