Cal would be more successful because he could get recruits to a pretty good SEC school historically. Saban would manage some 8 or 9 win teams, but you can't recruit Kentucky football

I think they are both top notch coaches, who have benefited immensely form being at historical programs for their sport.

Saban however won a national championship at LSU
Calipari didn't win a championship at Memphis

Cal. Saban can't win without all the 5* players in the SEC.
