Cuz he is killin it so far for NC State.
Him and Ralston Turner are gonna have to carry this team. Thank goodness for SEC transfers. Yalls conference is loaded with bball talent.
eta: 19 pts with 3:15 left in first half

no, he wasn't that good ... hard to blame him, though ... grant isn't known for sharpening offensive skills ... glad to hear he's doing well ... can't really blame him for leaving ...

Pretty much all of this.

Yes, he was pretty damned good and misused by AG.

He was fat and outta shape here. A year off did him good getting trimmed up.

The transfer process and extra year to mature probably made him realize if he wants to get paid ball then Things need to change.

He was pretty awesome against weak competition at Bama, yeah.
If you're relying on Lacey and Turner to carry you, you're going to struggle.

Oh yea, its definitely a struggle type season. NC State has had the LSU football problem the past two years with transfers and juniors leaving early to not even play in the NBA.
But if Lacey can score 21 in a half frequently, im slightly optimistic about our tourney chances.

he was a 4* and recruited by calipari, so he's got some talent ...

And even after those 21 points, you're still only up by 1 over a meh Richmond team.

Yea Anya got in foul trouble and barely played the first half. We are paper thin at depth.

Anthony Grant's teams at Alabama usually score in the high 60's or low 70's in their very best games. He is not exactly known as a great offensive coach. Who knows what Lacey can do under a more offensive minded coach

Can't believe Ralston Turner still has eligibility

Hope Lacey lights it up. He didn't give a frick at Bama but he can ball.

I saw him play at LSU, then I went to NC State and so did he so I watched him play there.
Im like the #1 Ralston Turner fan or something due to circumstance.

Coach Grant was trying to turn him into a pg...but he just wants to shoot it...a 6'2 SG thats not explosive I doubt he gets drafted, but he can shot it when he's on.

That pretty much sums up Lacey's most impressive scoring games at Alabama.

He was so out of shape at Alabama. Only dunked once in his 2 years there. He's always had the talent to play at a really high level
