ETA: Really hope this is just a prank or something. Wouldn't wish that on any university, it's pitiful people can't keep a game from affecting their lives and relationships. I doubt it's real, I don't see anyone, in this rivalry, having the hatred that some Bama/Auburn fans obviously harbor.

I agree that a threat to some historical trees is important, yet Jameis Winston raped a girl and is still playing football.

Unfortunately, severity of a crime tends to scale directly with the number of people it affects. A lot of people feel connected to universities, less feel connected to a random person. It's an incredibly sad truth.

I doubt this is real just because of the nature of this rivalry. Yeah there are some crazies, but largely our fanbases are intertwined through families and friends, and this connection keeps our hatred below the Updyke crazy level. I don't seriously believe any state fan would do this.
But if it did happen, the Grove is essentially all of our campus. We'd be fricked.

Entirely. But honestly, who the frick thinks this is funny? Not in the sensitive "someone threatened my grove" sense, but in the "this is seriously just not funny" sense.
