I'm at a 65% confidence level. Anything can happen in rivalry games. AU has talent as they've shown at other times this year. It depends on which AU team and which Bama team shows up. I'd like to see the Bama team that played against TAMU or the one that played MSU in the 1st half.

Yep...gonna have to play 4 quarters and not let them hang around or get big explosive plays. They have some playmakers on th eoffensive side of the ball. If we come out and punch them in the mouth and don't let up, this Barn team will fold like a cheap tent.

I'll tell you why I'm nervous.

Last year Auburn ran the ball 80% of the time and we played the whole game in the Nickel. Last year Auburn ran the hurry up all season and yet there we are running a check with me defense and half our guys are looking at Kirby on the sideline when the ball is snapped.

Last year they didn't have Duke Williams. Gus is notorious for catching us off guard with 1-2 easy TD's a year (don't forget last year Marshall missed 1-2 wide open TD throws).

I think we'll win our offense is rock solid, but last year I learned to doubt Kirby way more than trust him against this type of offense.

Good thing about this is that this isnt last year. Our D will be ready, and their offense is a shell of what it was last year.

This is true, but I will be surprised if Williams is even close 100%. His injury appeared to pretty traumatic. He is very lucky that it was only a sprain.

I mean, I guess, but we still held them under their season average offensively. Defense is not what lost us that game.

Since I became a fan in 2002, Bama is 4-8 against Auburn, one of the two SEC teams they have a losing record against in my tenure. Unfortunately I'm almost never confident against them anymore.

Yeah I don't get all the optimism that auburn won't show up to play...only time I'm confident is when they are clearly mediocre or worse

im not worried. i havent see us get tired yet this year from hurry up. i think our work on stopping these types of offenses is starting to pay off.

Probably because we have looked like the better team for most of the year.

50/50. But I feel that about almost every game.

They should beat them and do it handily, but that doesn't mean anything. If they play tight and conservative and turn the ball over, especially in the red zone, then AU will win a tight one.

If they play fairly mistake-free and play with the passion they had against A&M it won't be close.

There's no way those frickers beat us after the bullshite that happened last year.

I said that after the 2008 and 2012 LSU-Alabama games plus the 2011 fiasco too.

"Deserve" has got nothing to do with it.

That's because LSU is in decline.

I just have a bad feeling that they are gonna hit us with 3 to 5 big passing plays.

Even if they do, doesn't mean we will lose.

My score prediction for the 2014 Iron Bowl back in July was 44-3 Bama

That prediction hasn't changed.

I always get nervous about this game. Hell, I was nervous before the 49-0 game a couple of years ago.

With that said, I'm about 73% confident that we win.

Thanks to a fast start against UT we won...they played the better half and outscored us in the 2nd half iirc. Lsu was a miracle win and you can say they outplayed us for most of the game. Same for Arkansas and Miss state.
and of course we lost to ole miss...we may have looked better but not substantially

We are at 80% confidence at our house. Me, my gump wife and three gump children will be among the 100,000 gumps at Bryant-Denny (I almost typed Brian Dennehy) screaming and yelling on Saturday.

Bama was about a 10 point favorite last year and a 10 point favorite this year. I would say the chances of winning is about equal.
