I wonder how St. Louis racial unrest is affecting Mizzou's minority players?

I believe the 24/7 news cycle televising racial unrest in STL will actually motivate Mizzou's black players to elevate their performance to set an example of self pride and personal responsibility for the entire black community.
Mizzou's team will showcase to the nation a real life example of black and white young men unified to one goal - to succeed on the field as true brothers of a color blind family unit.
Mizzou's success at this critical time is what the state of Missouri, Ferguson residents, and the nation needs to begin racial healing.

After we lost to UL Lafayette in the mid 90s our players blamed Tupac's death earlier in the week for not being focused. True story

Will Mizzou fans be hurling racial insults at protestors like Cardinals fans?

So they plan to fuel their energy into more black on black violence

How many Missouri players are from around the Ferguson area?

doesn't matter. Ferguson transcends city boundaries. Ferguson is a metaphor of the current state of the union.

I fear the man(ref) will put the cuffs on the African-American players who play for your Tigers. I hope I am wrong but history shows that SEC refs do not treat everyone the same.

bullshite. I live in what everybody assumes is the most racist state in the country, but you'll never find the same disparity in (police race)/(total population race) anywhere in Mississippi, and you won't come close. I've mentioned this before and got a lot of Yadda, yadda, yadda answers. It's plain to me that Ferguson is a seriously screwed up town.

You can hope, I guess.

This is pretty ironic. Racism is a national problem, and it's worse in some places than it is in others.

I'm not sure what you find ironic. There's nothing any rational person would disagree with in your second sentence. I was responding to the OP nitwit's:

Again, that's bullshite. It is not. Ferguson is completely fricked up. Don't go pulling the rest of the country into Missouri's self-imposed mess. I forget the exact numbers but it is something like <5% black police officers serving a town of >70% black folks. Can you see that happening in Mississippi in 2014? Even in/around Oxford with all you KKK guys? Or anywhere else?
