Upvote if Yes, an MSU win over Ole Miss makes MSU deserving of at least the No. 4 seed in the College Football Playoff

Down vote if No, MSU should enjoy its nice season playing Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl. Playoffs are for conference champions.

No because its MSU or No even if it were Ole Miss in the same situation?

The people I have talked to are 50-50 on the matter. I'm bias because I'm an MSU fan, but I hated the Mulligan Game.

I am torn a bit.

There was nothing about the Bama game that suggested yall were two evenly matched teams.

It wasn't a bad game. But they looked clearly better.

So I'm inclined to "no."

Yes; they play in the toughest division in CFB and their only loss would be to the #1 team.

I think they are deserving. Wouldn't mind playing them again in the playoffs either. Even though it was a decent game, it never really felt like MSU was a serious threat to win. I like the matchup for Bama, particularly with extra time to prepare.

11-1 and they'll be in. I just like stirring the pot. Your fanbase has such thin skin

Idk, it's impossible for me to answer that without knowing who else is up there in contention with them.

A 12-1 Ohio State team
An 11-1 Baylor team
An 11-1 TCU team

Same teams anyone that follows college football knows are in the running.

Only loss to Bama? Of course they do.

I don't have thin skin. I have always been a proponent of conference champions first, then at-large. I'm really torn.

I'm on the modified 8 team bandwagon.

5 conference champions get a bid + 3 top at-large teams. If non-Power 5 champion is ranked in the top 12, they get one of the at-large spots.

Ok so I'm assuming your'e counting on a 1 loss SECC bama, 1 loss P12C oregon, and undefeated ACC FSU as already the top 3.

Do you think MSU should "deserve" to be 4th over one of the other teams you listed that would also have 1 loss but be a conference champion?

I don't have anything against MSU, but I hope both they and Bama lose.

It depends on what happens in conference championships
