Yes?

I say no

Winning the iron bowl will not save our season. Alabama winning it will save theirs.

Our season is already a disappointment. Winning another iron bowl wont change that

Not if MSU loses to Ole Miss and Alabama goes to the SECCG even with an Iron Bowl loss. Then it would be Alabama because they are playing for a championship.

If MSU wins the Egg Bowl, then your statement is probably true even if Alabama has a better overall record. In that scenario, neither season would be considered a success. It would just be a mediocre season ending on a high note by beating your rival. Beating your rival is always nice.

You may be right, El. If State wins, though, I would say Auburn has had a more successful season, assuming they win. Better wins, the Iron Bowl would tip it.

If Bama wins then yes 111-1 is an excellent season

If Aubie wins, which I hope they do, I still think Bama was more successful, and all you have to do to figure that out is to look at who each team lost to.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but UA can still win the West with loss.

Bama, yes.

AU, no.

Not really. I mean, if AU wins it is close. Both have decent records considering the respective schedules and both would have big signature wins.

But Alabama wins and has a ton to still play for.

I will say that if AU wins and UA is 10-2 and AU is 9-3, the records probably pretty accurately reflect reality. If UA gets through at a 11-1, I think they're viable in the playoff, but this is probably one of the more vulnerable teams to come out of the SECW in recent years.

If neither teams wins a championship, the winner would have had a better season. Doesn't matter if the loser has a slightly better record

State champs >>>> no SEC west, No SEC, No Nattie. However if Alabama wins all there goals are intact. Would be a championship season.

Auburn would have the more successful season if it caused Bama to miss the SEC Championship. That's the only way.

I don't see Ole Miss beating State, so that would probably be the case.
