Along with your reason, great memory associated with it, whatever. I'll start:

The Beatles - "A Day in the Life" - It's hard to believe that just ten years prior Lennon & McCartney were a couple teenagers struggling through songs in each others' living rooms. What a journey they made in that time, and in many ways they were just getting started.

The Stones - "Can't You Hear Me Knocking?" - That opening riff is killer, and that latin jam in the second half is as good as anything Carlos Santana has ever done.

The Who - "Who Are You?" - Just an awesome song. I can't listen to it without making my amp work overtime.

Led Zeppelin - "Nobody's Fault But Mine" - Another smoker. Plant rips on the harmonica and Bonham is just a beast. Oh, and that guy Page does some awesome work too... The fast part of "In My Time of Dying" gets honorable mention as well.

Let's hear it rock fans of the South... what are your top four and why?

Stones - Gimme Shelter - just a great song that gets my feet tappin.

The Who - Baba O'Riley - not a huge fan of The Who but always loved this song.

Zeppelin - When the Levee Breaks

Not really a fan of any of those groups. I don't hate them, and know a couple of their songs, but none of them are my faves

This is an old white folk thread, for sure. I hate all of those groups except Zeppelin and even them I only tolerate a few songs.
