Tackle Chubb every play whether he gets the ball or not

Lightning strike the linebacker to meet in the backfield

And then follow with a safety

Don't care if the Dawgs spread receivers 4 wide - somebody is coming off of their coverage to contain Chubb

Assignment football

I can see the nerds trying to take out their knees like they try to do to opposing defences.

Chubb is going to blast right through that little thigh gap between your "s" and "t" all day long. Do what you will.

I just hope we don't lose a D lineman to a knee injury.

I'm gonna be straight up with y'all

Maybe GT doesn't deserve to be ranked around 15th in the polls (maybe they do)

And maybe Tech's D-fence is not good (maybe they are)

Maybe Paul Johnson is a bad motherfricker (maybe he's not)

For sure though, every team is surprised at how well GT's d-fence thumps (they play for each other - nobody believes in them) Prolly getting 120% out of that group

Assignment football.

Isn't that a little contradictory?

With Hutson at QB and Chubb in the backfield....I would take my chances on stopping Chubb as well.

Agree, Hutson is POS with only 19 td passes and 3 ints earlier in the season. His nearly 70% completion ratio is abysmal.

That wasn't my point. My point was it's a little contradictory to say guys are going to come off their assignments to stop Chubb then say it's assignment football.

I'm interested to know who the Dawgs will assign to cover the pitch man?

What do you got?

I am more interested in the question as to why the nerds feel like they have to go for the D's knees and can't block normally...

But you never answered the question. Since "everyone" does it, why must the nerds do it more than everyone else and just why can't they block normally? One would think that they must feel inferior or something of the sort.

If, as you agree, everyone does it, why does it matter when one team does it more?

Yeah, and some have a special knack for it.
