Is this a terrible AU team?

The Iron Bowl margin of victory thread reminded me of that long running saying that Alabama never beats AU when they're good.

So I just wanna know whether or it will most likely be a 1-6 point loss or a 30 point blowout again.

Auburn peaked early, but when you have a schedule like your second favorite sport, NASCAR, with the BigGame/Race to start the year, that will happen.

Pretty terrible but it should count as a good AU team. Not Bama's fault they gave up at the end of the season.

Umm I think this is the main reason why we play the games: nobody knows who's going to win any game. [ENDOFTHREAD, please!]

Oh yeah, AU is not even close to being a terrible team. Gz what a stupid fricking question.

Auburn is a good team but they just haven't been playing up to their potential lately for whatever reason.

But whatever happens in this game, I don't expect it to be a blowout.

Unmotivated leaderless team...they don't care about the outcome this Saturday

Unless one of the teams is absolutely terrible, close games even between mismatched teams are pretty much a regular sight at the IB.

Above average AU team. That loss to A&M was a killer

Defensively, API is average. Bama will be able to run on them and the pass game will be a big plus. Georgia swamped the Tigers. You think that game has not been scrutinized from top to bottom. Excellant QB play by API for the last few games has not been the norm. The question being-how long before GM changes his QB because of bad play.

Because of API has to have gimmicks to compete, expect many. Onside kicks, fake punts, fake field goals, etc.-will happen quite often.

The real question, will the refs allow API to play illegally? Twelve men on the field, blockers down field, not call players out of bounds, etc.

API won't need an onside kick or fake punt. Only teams that are losing do that.

That's mighty generous.

And hopefully fumble.

Laid it on too thick here.

They had to be a good team in 2012 or they couldn't have made the NC game in 2013. You don't get that good with nothing. They can be as shitty as they want to be. This year they have given up and Bama is peaking. I expect they'll try for 1-2 qtrs then give up and get their arse kicked. Something like 45-10

this ^^^

Depends on who's calling the game. You can always expect Wagers or Ritter crew to call against Bama. I have been noticing this season that Gus's ref luck has run out. If they would now start calling the holds (see the A&M game), it may be a tough game for the Barn.

Look at Bama's Opponents Record (FBS). Barely above .500.
