Did Mizzou have good fan support at the SECCG last year?

Do the Mizzou fans travel well?

I was wondering what kind of crowd advantage Bama is going to have in Atlanta.

Pretty sure it was like 80% Auburn.

We didn't do much better in 2010, to be fair.

I thought I remembered there being a good many of them there but it was mostly Auburn

Most have prior convictions that make crossing state lines a dicey proposition.

It was about 70/30 in favor of Auburn. However, consider that:

Auburn to Atlanta: 108 miles/1.5 hour drive

Columbia to Atlanta: 676 miles/10.5 hour drive

Thanks for all the responses. I look forward to seeing the few Mizzou fans that show up. I figured they might not have as large a crowd this year. Winning the East is probably not that big of a deal after dominating the division again.

Mizzou released their allotment to the general public as soon as they clinched the east. While they were out celebrating....Auburn fans, like myself, were buying up their tickets from their university for face value.

We were in the Mizzou allotment and the entire section was AU fans. It was at least 80% AU in the Dome and that's probably conservative. Everyone around us did what we did...bought their tickets directly from Mizzou. We ended up with 20 and resold our extras.

The Mizzou fans we did meet were great.....we had a really good time and the ones we talked to really enjoyed the experience regardless of the outcome.

I'm sure Mizzou learned a lesson from last year and won't be doing that again.

Was there. Huge, huge Auburn majority of fans.

Of course, we had to drive through one freezing rain storm to get there, and another freezing rain/snowstorm to get home.

That might have had something to do with it.

Had a blast anyway

That's odd. Why would they do that?

This new invention came out of Ohio and was recently proven in North Carolina called the "Arrow plain", perhaps one day it will making driving/horseback obsolete for long distance travel.

Probably a 45/55 disadvantage.

Yup weather going through Tennessee was shite. Turned the 10.5 hour drive into 16-20 hours for a lot of fans.

Don't know....but I bought 10 and my husband bought 10 for face value, $100/ea.

I still get emails regarding ticket sales and other athletic info from Mizzou

Not used to being in a conference where the tickets sell out quickly?

Yeah, no idea why we did that and it won't happen again.

I was there. It was 3/4 Auburn fans but to be fair it's a much longer commute from Mizzou and many had to travel through a nice storm to get there.

They showed up well for a team coming from so far. It was certainly more us but I would think they had 30% there.

They were a good fanbase as well.
