SEC Coaches Hot Seats

1. Les Miles. Decline. If they lose to A&M and end up last in the division if Arkansas beats Mizzou the swamp gumps will be rallying around the campfire with pitchforks.
2. Gus Malzahn. 3 losses about to be 4 and a fanbase that is uber spoiled, petty, and the least loyal in the SEC.
3. Kevin Sumlin. If you think the season has been a roller coaster, wait until the off-season. The discipline in College Station has been laughable, a Fulmer Cup will be the only trophy Sumlin wins in the SEC.
4. Butch Jones. Mountain Gumps are getting impatient having blown themselves over recruiting classes yet not seeing the immediate impact wins they promised themselves.
5. Steve Spurrier. The Old Ball Coach is seemingly more and more just an old ball coach. The QB situation looks dire and his reputation isn't bringing 5 star QB's to Columbia.
6. The guy at Vanderbilt. He never would have been hired by any of the other conference schools, if he had been he'd not have lasted the season.
7. Nick Saban. Championships or die. The gumps have set an expectation for themselves that will ruin the program.
8. Hugh Freeze. That one magical season.... now gone forever.
9. Bert Bullimia. We've won 2 in a row by shutout now. Cool, that was awesome. Keep winning or the pressure will be back up higher than ever.
10. Mark Stoops. UK's making progress, but if they can't beat L'ville and get to a bowl after being 5-1 there's going to be a lot of finger pointing and fracturing in the program. We'll see how Stoops can handle the adversity.
11. Gary Pinkel. They couldn't wait to run him out of town. Now a division title later and maybe a second one too, it still seems like Mizzou is keeping their trigger finger free and unencumbered by a big contract extension and buyout for a reason.
12. Mark Richt. UGA simply is the best team in the SEC this year. He's proven himself but he's got to get over the hump and win something.
13. St. Dan Mullen, his holyness. This joke works better with the pseudo religion flag wavers like Malzahn and Freeze, but a #1 ranking and still a chance to get in the CFB playoff. That happens and Dan will have lifer status job security.
14. Whoever the new Florida coach will be. He'll 3-4 years to bring UF back to being a contender, but it'll really need to happen in the first two and immediately if he pulls the recruiting class together and lands all the 5 stars that are in a holding pattern waiting for the hire.

Not biting.

2 years later and y'all are still mad we got him as Head Coach.
Most aren't even in favor of firing Ellis Johnson.

Looks at record, not games.
Otherwise he'd notice the record setting offense and what not.

Jones isn't anywhere near the hotseat. VN melts after every game - even when we win. The goal for this year has always been a bowl game and that's within sight.

telling yourself things over and over again doesn't make them true

I can't believe you spent so much time on this garbage.

You can move him on down to 13. 5 wins is still improvement over 2 consecutive 2 win seasons.

I don't have to tell myself. Y'all remind me all the time.

Nice try, really.
Stoops seat will not even get warm until the end of next season. In 2015 all he really needs is 6 wins to keep things cool.

No one is mad. We didn't want him. He's a douche bag. Enjoy it

The correct answer is Gary Pinkel. Because well...Indiana. Duh.

3/10
you had some good stuff but overreached with Saban at 7.
i am pretty sure he could demand a tribute of first born sons and have at least 5 infant hearts at his feet minimum.

I debated myself on where Saban belonged. In the end Bama's fanbase was worth 3 crazy points and moved him up to 8 from 11, and I figured in for a penny in for a pound so he became #7.
