Would an SEC team have been penalized for shoving a ref?

Or any other team for that matter?

Should and would be an ejection and suspension for any other college QB in America.

Should have been penalized and ejected for touching referee...On a side note, I think Jimbo is on uppers. Have you heard how fast he talks?

This entire situation at Florida State is turning into a National embarrassment. Jimbo Fisher's post game press conference was even worse.

I hope what goes around comes around.

I literally cannot believe it wasn't at least an unsportsmanlike penalty. And their fans are just like "haters gonna hate".

It's actually pretty disgusting the way the entire sport of college football has sheltered this kid from any reprecussions.

To think someone is about to make him a millionaire as well and he won't be getting any better

Bama wouldn't. But, then, Bama wouldn't shove the referee in the first place. It violates employer/employee codes of conduct, and it costs money to train and replace refs. That's the answer we're aiming for, right?

UF would have been flagged for sure. Probably a couple more SEC teams would have been flagged as well. There's one team for sure that wouldn't have been flagged for the same action.

I don't understand what is going on, why is the ref even standing there with his hand up? Was he trying to run the clock out? It's not like he was standing over the ball at the LOS.

watching live, I was amazed with no penalty.

Try it in basketball or baseball. They will run you off the court/field.

FSU substituted. By the rules, that meant BC had the right to substitute too. The ref was deliberately (and correctly) preventing play action until the substitution was finished.

FSU subbed. Under that rule, the defense is allowed time to sub too and get the men off the field. The ref was allowing that to happen and Rapeis shoved him.

Definite ejection in the SEC.

Richt got a 15 yarder for saying "That's Bull Crap!" to Penn Wagers.

From the CBS Sports column on the incident: "FSU coach Jimbo Fisher supported his QB, adding the incident was forgotten by the time Winston next came off the field: "He doesn't even remember [when he comes to the sideline]. When I yell at players, five minutes later, I don't remember who I yelled at. You move on to the next thing."

Okay, either Fisher is lying so brazenly that he doesn't care who knows, or he's saying both he and Jameis are badly brain-damaged.

Jameis, of course, is claiming it was entirely unintentional.

That's why you stand over the ball, not behind the center.
