Why doesn't the SEC have any bowl games with PAC-12 teams?

I think LSU vs USC would make a great Cactus Bowl or some other mid level bowl. We play both the little 14 (big10) and ACC multiple times. I wish we could swap for the PAC.
Thoughts?

I get tired of the same Big 10/ACC teams. Assuming it has to do with geography.

I guess, but it is extremely boring. I actually think a bowl game in Phoenix, Vegas or SD would get more fans than a trip to Shreveport or Charollette (no offense to either cities).

the pac 12 has always had a horrendous bowl line ups. Hopefully someday soon an opportunity would open for pac 12- SEC games. Would be awesome.

Their fans don't travel well. If you are a bowl you want SEC vs B1G, that's why there are so many.

Sheer geography at this point. The SEC, like every other conference, wants bowl games in their recruiting footprint. So Southern, Texas, and lower East Coast. The PAC 12 wants California, some Mountain West, and Texas. If we are going to make a bowl matchup then it will be a second tier Texas bowl.

You mean So Cal? It'd be strange for LSU to play USC in a bowl since we're in the same conference
And the answer is geography

I think maybe you should check out the PAC-12 record vs the SEC prior to saying they are scared. Most SEC teams have losing records vs them.
One of the great tragedies of college football has been the Rose bowl never allowing the great PAC teams to play anyone but big 10. I'm glad that's gone.
SEC still best top to bottom, but after living out west for a while and having the chance to see more of these games I can verify that they have good teams.

yup,, if we hurry up and invent those Star Trek teleporters, regional (travel) will no longer be a concern, but many fans still like to caravan to bowl games.

Well that doesn't make sense

How so? USC is a pretty prolific PAC 12 program. It 100% makes sense

Aren't there bowls that can pick at large now? I thought it was more likely now with the set up.

They want teams they have a shot against so they schedule B1G and B12 to make them feel better about themselves.
