I mean, Kansas never touched the kid and OK kept running him when the game was over, just so he could get the record.

Kind of cheap, imvho.

Actually, really cheap. But hey - he's got the record.

It's never been done before. There have been lots of awful teams over the year and it's never been done. It's legit.

It's definitely impressive, 400+ is 400+. That being said, Gordon's performance was significantly more impressive in my opinion. Nebraska >>>> Kansas. But yea we'd still be freaking out if Chubb had run for 400+ vs Charleston Southern.

It's a shame Gordon probably won't win the Heisman because he sure as hell deserves it. And his RB coach is Thomas Brown, a DGD.

nebraska and kansas have equally shitty run defenses, surprisingly enough.

plus the weather was absolute shite today and throwing the ball was really not an option. super impressive performance from the true freshman.

fun fact: tony sands of kansas once held the record for single game rushing yards. feel like that could be a tough trivia question: school to set record and have it set against them.

I stand corrected. And yea I definitely didn't mean to sound like I was downing Perine, that's a hell of a feat. Pretty good timing to have a performance like that when the starting QB is out (even though Knight has had his struggles for sure).

Gordon didn't play in the 4th quarter in the game where he set the record.

Gurley had 6 carries for 73 yards vs Troy. Could have left him in and could have gotten over 500.

I'm not real impressed with the stat in modern football where the team talent levels are so lopsided.

Eh, Gordon did it vs a 7-4 FCS team. Perine was against an FCS team as well. That's impressive regardless.
