That touched me. Brett seems like a coach who could really be a second father to all the kids. This team has really felt like a family this year.

Yeah, but they do not try and turn it into a recruiting gimmick like other flash in the pan coaches.

Kinda like Mike can play two 5 man squads, but he doesn't have to say it, talk about it all the time, or give it a name like "platoons".

Agreed. I liked him before but he's grown on me so much this season.

And yeah that video is great.

I know he loves Flowers & cares about the rest of the guys as well. I saw genuine tears this afternoon when they hugged. I believe he's got the respect of the team which is a huge deal. They believe in him which was evident in their resilience throughout & after the losing streak. They never gave up, which is largely due to the HC, so he's good with me. I was skeptical last year, but he's really proven what he can get these guys to do in the really short time he's been here. I wasn't expecting anything like this, this season; would've never thought we'd be bowl eligible until at least next year, maybe. Hopefully, we've turned the corner for a good long time. ... So, hats off to CBB. ... And WPS!!

I won't lie I teared up pretty big when they showed it. For all the seniors, but Flowers, a 2 star on 247 coming outta HS to be what he is now and one of my favorite Hogs of all time. A true Razorback.

But you think about the ride he's been on, and stuck with the fans, multiple coaches, unbelievable hardship and turmoil. The seniors came into this program after we had just won the Cotton Bowl over KState and finish Top 5/Top 10 in the country at 11-2. And it went to a complete shitshow in a hurry, laughing stock of football with JLS and a complete rebuild with 17 straight SEC losses, but stuck with the program and kept the faith in the UofA and in Bielema through it all to still be giving it 110% laying their hearts out there. Makes me fricking proud. Love those guys.

Nothing makes me happier knowing we get to send them out in a bowl game, and a bowl game I hope we go into winning 3 straight and steamroll whoever it is, but win the bowl game either way because they deserve it so damn much.

It is the little things like A) no players ineligible due to grades B) no police headlines C) when a player leaves he assist them in getting to a better fit. These reasons and the fact that he seems to love the players are why I have liked him from the beginning and it hasn't had anything to do with W/Ls.

I'm not gonna lie, when they showed Bert crying while hugging Flowers, all of a sudden there was a lot of sawdust in my house.

Not gonna lie, my first thought was "he's trying to eat that player!"

Bert has said before that being a walk-on at Iowa was so hard because you're on your only chance, have to literally earn everything, have to do everything right and work hard all the time or that chance could be gone, and it directly impacts how he runs his program and fosters relationships with his players.

I really love his "we earn everything" mantra this year, and damn if these kids haven't earned these last two wins.

I was impressed when he said there has been "a half dozen or so" of his former players at the last two games. So you're talking 6 or more former Wisconsin player made there way to Fayetteville the last two weeks to support him. That says a lot about him right there.

It's also cool to see how many of our former players like him that never even played for him.
