I've been saying it for several years now too. Our facilities are way behind our rivals. Mark May just went on a rant and I agree with him. Too much money spent on paying guaranteed contracts on lame coaches versus building our home.
Get it done Foley.
Get it done Foley.

Yeah I've been saying it too. Every Gator radio show with people that are close to the program bash them too but if you ever bring it up on a message board people get awfully defensive about it.

It won't be too soon since he has to pay out CWM and co. 7mil in severance as well as how much for a tier one head coach.

I think most people think that Foley is beyond reproach. People have 100% faith in him so they won't dare ask the tough questions. I don't know all the financial issues at stake but Foley has always come across as thrifty to darn right frugal to me.
I know several kids here in Texas that have said to me that they were not impressed with our overall facilities. Not having an indoor practice facility may seem trivial but it's important to some of these young kids.

The football dorms are terrible, a friend of mine that was a walkon in 2011 let me walk through the dorms. I had better living accommodations when I was in the army for crying out loud.

just a question....who here has been on recruiting visits to other campuses? who has seen every school we recruit against weight room, football complex, dorms, stadium, training table, meeting room, campus, etc etc.
Outside of not having an indoor football practice facility (which is in the works) and all kind of gadgets in the players lounge, where are our facilities lacking? In your firsthand knowledge?
Or is this the kind of thing that one person said, then another said, and then another agreed, and now random joes like myself have heard it so much we start to buy into it. Having bought into it, I (we) repeat it, and then it becomes "common knowledge" and just this widespread misnomer to try to get us into an arms race with everyone else.

Has May even step foot into our athletic facilities? Someone pop him with a needle to let the hot air out.
