I can't remember when UGA had a more accurate passer. Mason is a coldblooded killer when the receivers decide to catch balls.

I think you exaggerate some. He has really progressed as a passer over the past month but he is still the game manager we needed him to be.

He's a game manager who has done well to not make mistakes. He can't put the team on his back but he can keep us in it.

I hate the term 'game manager' . nowadays every QB that doesn't put up next nintendo numbers on a winning team is a game manager

He's done everything required of him and done it exceedingly well. We're a run heavy offense. very heavy. And we don't have elite receivers to chuck it to 60 times a game even if we wanted to

I think I was probably wrong about Mason. After the Clemson game, I said he wasn't good enough to lead Georgia to a championship, and at that point I don't believe he was. But, now I think he might have been good enough if he'd had a little more experience coming into the season.

HM still has trouble going through his progressions and finding the open receiver, but at least now he's better at moving around in the pocket, a lot more willing to throw downfield and he's stepping into some throws. Big improvement as the year progressed. I almost wish they had made him play spring ball as a live target rather than waiting til the season to let him deal with pressure from the defense.

I was more wrong in the pre-season about the outlook for the o-line. i will gladly eat crow on that one.

doubted him some..one thing is he had a really good defense on the field this year. one thing Murray and Stafford never had.

but really glad for the young man..stays around and has a very good, memorable year..damn fine dawg!

Nobody was wrong for saying he was awful. Hutson Mason sucked the first third of this season. If you said otherwise, you were wrong. He couldn't hit the broadside of a barn and Chris Farley could have outran Mason's passes.

He's turned a complete 180. He throws with extreme accuracy and he never throws into coverage. He does not (cannot?) sling it like Stafford or Murray, but he's very good at the short to mid balls.

Lets just say if we get behind.....I still can't see Hutson bringing us back. He doesn't have that type of arm.

Neither did Murray.

Is it too much to ask a program like Georgia should have a great QB to go with their great running game?

And Faton makes more sense with this offense.

Hutson has limited arm strength, He throws floaters, he locks in on receivers, he is a marginal D1 talent. With all that said, he is accurate on short range passes and does a good job handing the ball off.

I am not saying that Mason is Aaron Rogers but he is better than almost every other SEC QB.

And that mans what exactly? Not a lot of talent at the qb spot this year in our conference.

That's not saying much.
