LSU's easy schedule steals 6th place from Arkansas

Despite Arkansas's head to head win over LSU, Arkansas is going to finish in 7th place in the West, with LSU likely finishing in 6th.
Why does the conference allow LSU to steal a 6th place finish from Arkansas with easy cross divisional schedule?
LSU got to play Florida and Ketnucky, whereas Arkansas had to play Georgia and Missouri.
6th place in the West rightfully belongs to Arkansas but was gifted to LSU thanks to this joke scheduling.
How many more of these 6th place finishes will LSU get to steal before people demand change?
