Better Quarterback - Blake Sims or Nick Marshall?

They are some-what similar in style and both pretty good qbs. If you had to have one as qb for your team...which would you rather?
I'm not trolling here, BTW...There was an article in the T-News where Cecil Hurt was comparing all qbs in the SEC and said that it could be argued that Marshall might be better than B. Sims.

Marshall is faster and more athletic, but I think Sims is perhaps a little more elusive. I think Marshall throws a better deep ball, but Sims protects the ball better. Both work very well within their respective offenses.

Sims is more versatile. Nick is good in the right system and is pretty clutch.
If in the AU situation from last year, Marshall. Probably Sims in most other situations.

Knowing what we know with no hypothetical scenarios, it's Nick Marshall.

Sims has a 18-3 TD-INT ratio and one of the best 3rd down conversion rates in the country, if not the best. Sims could also run Gusmalfunction's offense too if he wanted.
Sims>Marshall
Sims>Marshall

One might, potentially play quarterback in the NFL. One definitely will not.

I'd take Sims in our offense. Smarter, better in the pocket, better decision-maker, better on short-intermediate throws.

Both are excellent QBs, I think. Equally gifted. I would choose Mashall only because he appears to never be rattled. Like he has ice water in his veins. (I could see Sims achieving this as well with each win boosting his confidence.)

I would actually say both are probably above average, solid QBs and neither will ever be excellent.

I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but I think that Marshall is better in Auburn's offense than Sims would be, and Sims is better in Bama's offense than Marshall would be. Both are very good players overall.

Marshall is the definition of elusive. I'd be surprised if any QB in CFB is able to just weave in and our of traffic on the perimeter like he can. He is ridiculously slippery.

Clearly Marshall is as collected in late scenarios as anyone in the game. You're right, Sims looked very rattled against WVU, Ole Miss, and (until the final drive and OT) against LSU. Thankfully he is gaining composure. What impresses me about him is how much he has improved since that horrendous A-Day performance and his ability to prove the naysayers wrong. Pretty much everyone, myself included, thought Coker would be Bama's starter by now. Likewise, Marshall has steadily improved his passing game. Both serviceable quarterbacks who have proven they can get the job done.

I'd say they're both clutch QBs. I think bands would have more than one loss if we still had AjHe's a better QB than Sims, but with this year's OL, he'd lose more.
Marshall reminds me of a faster Tebow, with a less accurate arm. He runs that offense very well, but he's struggled art times because of the inexperience on Auburn's OL.
Overall, I'd say it's pretty much a push. I think Sims could run Auburn's O, but don't think Nick could run Bama's. That doesn't mean Blake is better, but we just aren't suited to be a heavy run ten this season, and prefer a balanced attack more so than Gus.

Both of these guys are good at what they do and are fine qb's for their systems. Sims is a good passer but he is also throwing to the best WR in the country by a country mile while Marshall is throwing to a bag of butterfingers candy and a drop prone wide out that only runs one route. Neither of these guys will play qb in the nfl but they could play other positions.

Auburns best QB is on the bench. I'm worried when he takes over.

Marshall could not run a pro style system where as Sims could run Gus's gimmicks or a pro style which he is doing now.

The short and sweet answer: NM is better in GM's offense, while Sims is better in LK's offense.

No doubt that Bama would have lost the LSU and Miss State games if you inserted McCarron on the crucial drives. Sims had clutch scrambles in that game that McCarron wouldn't even bother attempting.
