Which melt will compete for 2nd place in the greatest melt of all time. LSU holds the title and will never give it up, but who will be the #1 contender?
1. Auburn after Bama wins the Iron Bowl and goes on to the playoffs
2. Bama after Auburn pulls the miracle upset and knocks off the all mighty Crimson Tide?

Melt = expectations - reality
Obviously Bama is the only one with a high melt potential.

1. AU is resigned to their fait. Not much melt left after UGA fans spit on them.
2. Lightening doesn't strike twice in row. So, no worries.
Biggest melt left is MSU getting left out of playoffs.

AU fans have already had their melt for the season. I think you know the answer to this.

I guess you haven't watched Bama play at all this year if you think it would be a miracle upset.

Bama has something to play for. Obviously, it is Bama.
I will be on Roll Bama Roll if Bama loses to Auburn.

Understatement.
It could easily knock LSU out of first.

Our season is over, the melt is complete. If we beat Bama after last year then the biggest melt of all time will occur.

Very few will show up at BDS for the game, but will do like they did the last time the team traveled to Tuscaloosa...sit in a dark room, either by themselves or with one or two close friends or family members, and painfully watch it on TV....with a hand over one or both eyes.....because this one's gonna hurt really bad (they've pissed Alabama off).

Well why didn't you just ask for it?

Bama will never melt. Even if Auburn plays lights out and wins the IB. Bama fans will still expect to be in playoffs.

No, I don't. The larger the gap between expectation and reality, the larger the melt. Bama fans are expecting a national championship right now, and Auburn fans are know their season is over and are just hoping to get lucky and play the spoiler. If Bama wins, auburn fans reality won't differ much from what they were expecting, generating a lower melt value.
