He is an awesome coach and has an excellent eye for talent. Would love to have him back home

Was he the DB's coach under Tuberville? I'd be fine with him back honestly. In that past 6 yrs, I've seen the worst Auburn defensive backfield EVER...and it's not even close.

Lolley's name is popping up on every message board because his Edmonton Eskimos defense is dominant this season (he's the DC).

He's a good coach but I think its time to move on and stop recycling. Do we really need another 60+ year old coach on Defense? If you want a new DB coach go grab T-Rob and call it a day.

Lolley coached Thorpe Award winner Carlos Rogers and Junior Rosegreen, who both went on to earn All-America honors in 2004. During his two years, he coached numerous future NFL players including Rogers, Rosegreen, Will Herring, Kevin Hobbs, Roderick Hood, Travaris Robinson, Horace Willis and Walter McFadden.

Pretty stout list

Our D - needs someone that will bring excitement to them. I like the T-Rob idea. These kids seems to pick and choose which games they get up for.

And Chizik was also considered elite in 2004. Is this not the same board that claims the game passes coaches by at some point?

Lolly taught the secondary for 3 years then Chiz steps in and takes all the credit.

People wanted lolly gone a couple years ago, then got their wish when Martinez was hired to replace him (who's DBs are playing decent at UT fwiw).

Bringing someone like travaris Robinson makes sense, assuming Gus wants to make a change. I'm willing to see to see it play out next year before shaking anything up.
