Just Wanna Throw This Out There: Chrome Helmets for Iron Bowl

Watching UNC vs Duke and UNC's Chrome Helmets are sweet. I know another SEC team wore these this year, can't recall who, but would love for Auburn to sport them. They showed a locker room video of the players receiving the helmets and they were genuinely fired up about them
It'll take a WHOLE lot more to pull off a win in the Iron Bowl but the helmets might give the players a little extra pep in their step

If we need new helmets to get fired up for the Iron Bowl, then we might as well not even play.

Here's a pic of the UNC helmets for tonight along with a pic the players sent from the locker room. I doubt Auburn would ever actually wear them on the field but I liked the excitement the UNC players showed when presented with theirs. It just made me think how sometimes it's the small things that finally get thru to players.
The pictures I posted in the OP are just concepts and wouldn't be allowed on the field by the NCAA. But how can you guys NOT like the chrome helmets?

I like Auburn's current stance on uniforms, and that is to have absolutely no changes unless they're subtle...like the adjustments for the 50th anniversary of the 1957 National Championship. Having chrome helmets is a gimmick, it's tacky, gaudy, etc, and it's not a subtle change.

That's how to sell me on it. Hey see what North Carolina and duke are doing int their game...we should do that (obvious exception If shootyhoops related)
