I'm drawing a blank

It seems that every time a CFB fan does something idiotic enough to make national news it involves a Bama fan. The latest of which involving a student tweeting her hopes Jameis Winston was the target of an on-campus shooting

There appears to be a pattern of behavior exhibited by tGumps that is worthy of scientific study. What is it that makes their fans lose touch with reality and commit the most reprehensible acts in the name of CFB?

I'm not sure what it is but it's close to a mob mentality in a way. A dash of brainwashing, some cultish tendencies, desire to escape, desire to belong etc. some arrogance.

Plenty of perfectly normal bama fans but they seem to have outliers

One time an Auburn fan, in a drunken/benzo rage, kidnapped an LSU girl in Baton Rouge because he wanted to play "real life GTA".

An LSU fan died at the game against Bama and his family said he died happy. You think his family would hesitate to spread his ashes in Tiger Stadium following a game like the 2013 Iron Bowl?

You can't equate actions such as this with destroying historical landmarks, tea-bagging, and rocket launching yourself at opposing fans during this game.

Auburn man calls Tuscaloosa police to his hotel room, gets arrested with nearly 3 pounds of pot, $10,000 cash

WVLA NBC 33 is reporting an Auburn fan was arrested in Baton Rouge Friday night and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, kidnapping and nine counts of hit and run. He then allegedly told an officer that he "wanted to see what it was really like to play the video game Grand Theft Auto."

ATHENS, Ala. (WHNT)– Police say they arrested a man Wednesday evening after they found evidence of mass cat torture and killing going on inside his home.

Ronald Fraser Golden, 48, of 106 Bullington Road, Athens, is charged with 22 counts of cruelty to a cat in the first degree.
The man’s home is directly across the road from James Cowart Elementary.

The investigation into the animal torture has been underway since September 24. Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson said his department received a report about dead kittens found in the area of Bullington Road. Police received an anonymous tip that Golden was killing the kittens

Unless of course, you're not embarrassed by the above Auburn fans...

You had to go back 13 years for Auburn stuff. I can name more incidents than that for Bama (if I wanted) in the past year.

Gus teabagged his whole fanbase with that abortion of a defense he put on the field this year.

That was embarrassing.

destroying historical landmarks

A tree involved in college football celebrations is certainly not a historical landmark. A landmark, maybe. But it has no influence on history whatsoever.

Animal torture and the guy calling the police on himself were in the last yr. Kidnapping was somewhat recent yrs. Besides.. I didn't see a timeframe placed in the OP. Y so mad?
