Why do teams schedule cupcakes so late in the year?

Georgia playing Charlston Southern, Bama playing West Carolina, Arkansas playing Ole Miss, Auburn playing Samford, etc... What's with all these teams playing scrubs at the tail end of the season? After the first five weeks that shite should be done.

To get a semi - bye week late in the season when injuries are more of an issue. Since there will always be cupcake opponents it's better that they're spread out. It used to be hard to find anyone playing decent games early in the season.

I missed Arkansas' cupcake.
Should have been clear when I saw the razorback logo.

Funny with hawgs beating the worst LSu team in years and now they think the #8 team in the nation is a scrub.

I guess this makes sense. Hogs gotta rest up for the defending East champs. I'd still prefer a real team though.

Yeah Ole Miss destroyed LSU.

LSU didn't deserve to win that game.

Hahahahahaha we ran straight down your throat and were in position to score several TD's. You were lucky that it wasn't a blow out. Your run defense was a huge mismatch with our heavy run oriented offense.

IF not a troll, the OP reminds me of Rice on the championship committee: she asked in one of its first meetings why teams were dropping 8 back & only rushing 3 on certain plays. The "duh" factor comes to mind for both.

We are the better team. When we go in and beat that razorback arse in Fayetteville, like LSU couldn't, you will see we are clearly the better team. Bad Bo showed up in Baton Rouge. End of Story.
