I agree. No way UK would win vs a NBA team.

So 53% of the people that responded are fricking dumb. Got it.

ESPN asks a dumb question like this every year, and every year I get a little sadder on the inside.

The most damning point taken from this poll is that Philadelphia or at least Pennsylvania agrees.

This again.
The only scenario like this that is even remotely plausible is baseball.

ESPN respondents are stupid.

Not even close. Different game. We see 19 year olds dominate entire games in NBA basketball games.
76ers probably have less talent than UK top to bottom.
ETA:
UK would keep it close in games, but would get swept in a 7 game series. However, this is the closest College vs. Pro comparison I can ever remember.
UK probably has the most talented basketball team in college in the last 20 years. I believe only the Portland Trailblazers are taller. There are 3 or 4 guys that play for the 76ers that wouldn't play on any other NBA team. I bet UK has 5 or 6 future NBA starters on their squad, probably more.

My guess is this poll was probably linked to the men's college basketball page.
Oh, as bad as the Sixers are, they would win 1000/1000 times.

These are all the same people who think the NCAA women's champs would beat a boy's HS state champion basketball team. It wouldn't even be close.

Normally I'd be in this camp, but the Sixers are really bad and the Wildcats are really good. A good third or so of the Sixers' roster is not NBA-caliber. That's probably also true of Kentucky

very rarely do rookies dominate entire games, much less an entire team of 19 year olds. it's still a stupid argument
