LSU fans looking for the reason your team lost on Saturday, look no further than the very underrated Arkansas defense. Quit blaming your offense, it's put up solid numbers against highly ranked defenses all year. It just ran into the buzz saw known as the Arkansas defense on Saturday.

overall defense rankings
*Georgia ranked at #21 and Missouri tied at #22 are the only other SEC teams in the top 25 for total defense. Both of which LSU hasn't played

Wisconsin defense rank: #1 overall
LSU offensive output against: 365 yards - 28 points

Alabama defense rank: #6 overall
LSU offensive output against: 259 yards - 13 points

Ole Miss defense rank: #10 overall
LSU offensive output against: 406 yards - 10 points

Florida defense rank: #20 overall
LSU offensive output against: 305 yards - 30 points

Arkansas defense rank: #22 overall
LSU offensive output against: 123 yards - 0 points

That sound you hear is Ole Miss fans giving up hope of winning this Saturday

Thanks for the stats. I could have sworn LSU's offense was lighting up the scoreboard like the Packers the last two weeks.

Don't these stats make it seem like the offense is to blame for the Arkansas game? They did fine against the #1 defense

Wisconsin has the #1 defense overall?

Man, the Big Ten West is such a joke.

You're right... Stopping that QB dive, off tackle pitch sweep and the pass into the ground was all Arkansas defense...

Damn, you're deep into Ole Miss week with this post. Have they scheduled the Victory Parade down Dickson St. yet?

Friday would be a good day for that. Chances of rain spike that afternoon so your best bet might be that morning or sometime after 7:00 pm.

Also, you'll need to clear any remaining fans off the field surface by this evening at the latest. Ole Miss will need to do a walk through sometime tomorrow.

LSU's offense is a special kind of bad. The A&M game should be hilarious if Jennings plays.

I wish Les would ditch this play and bring back the option to the short side of the field. It was my favorite!

The Auburn, ATM, and UGA games really skew our overall defensive rank too. Auburn torched us using a WR we had no film on and a QB who was much better than we thought from the very limited film in the first half. The UGA 2 qtr was a complete meltdown and two massively blown coverages after an injury cost us 14 and 150ish yards.

Our defense isn't outstanding yet, but has gotten better much faster than I think anyone thought it would...especially at home.

Meh. It's just Old Mis Black Bears. We'll be resting starters most of the second half once we get this one well in hand.

IF he plays?

Miles already compared Jennings to Matt Flynn this week, he's our starter for the next 2 seasons too after Harris transfers and lights it up wherever he goes.
