They were the worst team in football a couple of years ago, now they have a chance to win 9 or 10 games.

If he's smart, he stays in Memphis with a competent AD.

On what planet is it smarter to stay the head coach at Memphis instead of taking the job at Florida?

He's proven to be very competent coach. Definitely one to watch over the next few years. Someone is going to hire him away, if Memphis doesn't commit themselves to football.

The recruiting just in the local area is impressive, a lot of culture there lol. Reminds me of the "State of Miami" concept The U used to build it's program. They have the FedEx Money if I recall and are in a major conference.

Right before the season began I talked with Fuente while we were both waiting to get our haircut.. He's gonna win big somewhere when he leaves Memphis.. He told me that day that they were gonna give UCLA all they wanted cause they matched up well with them.. They could've easily won that game.. I wish they would have.

You can argue with what Fuente has done at Memphis. He's going to be grabbed by a big program at some point.

I know a lot about Fuente. He is an offensive coach but has been successful at Memphis due to the defense. If he wants to replicate that success elsewhere he needs to take his defensive staff along with him. His offense at Memphis hasn't quite been there yet.

Freeze will get a nice raise but he's not going to Florida. He has it made in Oxford as long as we keep Bjork.

But if he did go, Fuente would be the man I hope would replace him. I think he's a great great coach.

Freeze won't come to UF imo.

He knows he isn't the right fit for the expectations. Doesn't "fit" his personality. He knows at Ole Miss he can skate by and it doesn't matter.

He learned from the best coach in college which is Gary Patterson. Everyone who took someone from Gary's staff has improved
Arky had the worst dbacks last year hired a guy from tcu and now they are pretty good

I would like Patterson, but the guy turned down a interview with Texas. That shows some crazy commitment.

Fuentes and McElwain have both been super impressive the last 3 years. And, they seem to have built legitimate programs, not just gone all in for a quick success and run out of town.

McElwain has a huge buyout though, so that would cause problems a lot of places.
