True or False? I say true. I can't think of another injury to a more important player. I say that if we still had Drake that we'd be undefeated and we would not have had nearly as many close games, and we'd be much more dangerous going forward.

Probably, Hightowers in '09 sucked, even though Reemer and Nico did a good job of substituting.

DJ FLuker, 2010.

We were different team with a shuffled Oline for half of the saeson, dropping 3 games. Got Fluker (and a few others) back for bowl, and looked like the best team in the country. No injury to Fluker that year equals another Natty IMO.

All good answers. I thought about Hightower, but even without him our D was nasty.

Vinnie is definitely a good call that I didn't think about for some reason. I would actually put his injury as the most significant.

Fluker is another good call but he was still very raw in 2010, and there is no telling how good he would have actually done.

If Vinnie was healthy he would have been holding the kick instead of Mandell and Davis likely gets run down. Not even factoring what impact he would have had on defense. That injury was huge.

Dareus got dinged up in 2010 and that really hurt our ability to pressure the QB. I'd say that was as significant as Fluker.

The collection of injuries in 2010 certainly affected the LSU and Auburn games that year.

Meh, we were already out of the NC and SEC hunt, and besides, he didnt even sit out that game.

I think we would have still won had he not gotten hurt.

I think we've been able to replace great players by committee on defense but offensively the injuries seem very hard to deal with. We had no replacement for Drake at all, a whole chunk of our offense died that day. We are just now trying to get some back with Ardarius.

From what I remember, he got hurt in the first half of the Iron Bowl and couldn't lift his arm in pass defense. Gave up a long touchdown on what should have been an interception or at least a pass break-up.

I think with a healthy Barron we beat auburn in 2010 and keep them from wining the BCSNCG. And no Cam-back. But you're right, probably not as significant since we already had 2 losses by that point.

I agree with Drake. We had already lost Devall in the OM game and then Drake goes down. It seemed to shake the team's psyche and they didn't get it back until Saban went off in the media after the Arkansas game.

Barron in 2010. No camback in. Thant Denny.

- 2010 was rough Trent, MI, Upshaw, Dareus, Fluker banged up all year

Last year Vinnie and Ryan Kelly in Auburn Game

I think we would be undefeated had Kelly not gotten injured this year too and would have won iron bowl last year - we only needed 1 yard a couple of times.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Jalston Fowler's injury in 2012. Wouldn't he have helped our running game versus Texas A&M?
