This era of Florida football produced more good coaches, in a short time period, than any other I can think of. I didn't realize it until a few minutes ago, but I think it's worth the time to think about where they are now, and identify other guys from Meyer programs who may be ready for a big job soon.

- Urban Meyer - Head Coach, currently HC at Ohio state where they are 11-1 and in playoff contention.
- Dan Mullen - Offensive Coordinator, currently HC at Mississippi State where they are 11-1 and currently in the playoff committee top 4.
- Doc Holliday - Associate Head Coach/Recruiting Coordinator/Safeties Coach, currently the head coach at Marshall where they are undefeated.
- Charlie Strong - Associate Head Coach/Co-Defensive Coordinator/LB Coach, currently the head coach at Texas.
- Gary Anderson - Defensive Line Coach at Utah, currently the HC at Wisconsin where the badgers are curb stomping opponents.
- Kyle Whittingham - Defensive Coordinator at Utah, currently the HC at Utah where he has a 81-40 record.
- Steve Addazio - OL coach and eventually OC after Mullen, currently the HC at Boston college.
- Tim Beckman - DC at Bowling Green, currently the HC at Illinois.
- Mike Sanford - OC at Utah, currently HC at Indiana State where he is turning their program around.
- Dan McCarney - DL coach for a year at UF, currently the HC at North Texas.
- Everett Withers - Co-DC for a season at Ohio State, currently the HC at James Madison.
- Gregg Brandon - OC at Bowling Green, currently the HC at Bowling Green.

There are actually a few more that aren't listed because they coached with him for a very short time or were a GA on the staff. There is a pretty distinct trend, guys who coached under him for longer periods of time have had far more success, with Mullen being a prime example. Now, I'm going to go through a few guys that fall under that description and are not HC's.

- John Hevesey - Coached with Meyer, and Mullen, from Bowling Green on. He has 2 national championships from Florida. Is currently the Co-Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach at Mississippi State. Annually turns 0-3 star offensive linemen into NFL prospects. The negative, he is a god at evaluating talent, but can't recruit for shite.

- Billy Gonzales - Coaches with Meyer, and Mullen, from Bowling Green on. Has 3 national championships from Florida and LSU. Currently the Co-Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receivers coach at Mississippi State.

- Vance Bedford - Served as the DB coach under Meyer at Florida where he won 2 national championships. Is currently the DC for Charlie Strong at Texas.

- Chuck Heater - Was with Meyer as Safeties and Deffensive Back coach and eventually Co-Deffensive Coordinator from Utah and Florida where he won 2 national championships. He is currently the Deffensive Coordinator at Marshall.

- Kenny Carter - Running Back coach at Florida for the Meyer years. Followed Strong to Louisville and is now the HC at Youngstown State. Has two national titles and has coached both sides of the ball.

Side note: If Florida doesn't hire Doc Holliday they are off their fricking rocker. He has been recruiting Florida, literally since the 80's at West Virginia and is currently only getting paid 600k a year at Marshall. You get he and Heater as a package deal, two off this list. I guarantee they win a National Championship if they land at a big program.

TL/DR: Urban is a coach factory.

Added Kenny Carter. Don't see anything coming from him but who knows.

Have an upvote for the work you put in on this.

And I'll say again that Doc Holliday will be the next HC at UF.

With a name like that he shouldn't be coaching anywhere but Georgia.

Not sure how this is a troll. I have a degree in Industrial Engineering with Minors in Math and Business. Call me dumb, but not uneducated, I worked too hard for that shite.

Pretty impressive coaching tree, to be sure. I'm still of the opinion that Belichick's tree is the most impressive.

I've been saying this as well. Guy is a fricking beast. He's undefeated at Marshall right now and has won 20 games the last two seasons there. He's gone after this season.

And in his opening press conference he should say, "Nick Saban... I'm your huckleberry"

And there is nothing wrong with that. Judging by the mean salaries of SEC graduates, most if them shouldn't have gotten a degree.

Does that make Holtz and Meyer Eskimo brothers?

Meyer started out at ND as well, not sure if he was under Holtz though. He is a devout Catholic and ND is his supposed dream job, no fricking clue why they haven't hired him.

Because Ohio State was really his dream job and his wife is happy to be back home in Ohio where she is from and has family.

They tried, but Foley was able to lure him from his 'dream school' to a place where he could immediately win championships.
