Bringing Brady back or Kermit back would have been better choices.

I love midwest basketball, and I though Ray would bring some of that organization and toughness to the table. You could see signs of it in his first teams, but we had to deal with a limited bench.

Now, we are just a mess, and we have a bench. The bench players actually did well. The starters were just horrid.

Yeah my glimmer of hope was that he came from the Purdue coaching tree.

Blergh...this is just awful. I don't really even know who the viable candidates would be.

The problem was a team finally forced us to shoot and we can't. That doesn't get better overnight. Making a shooting mechanic change is like changing the golf swing, it should be done by our coaches during the offseason and I think we have actually gotten worse in that area.

They may have beaten us by 30 if not for Johnson.

The zone defense has completely destroyed us in the past two years.

Or not. You know for those of us that enjoy basketball and want to talk about our program.

That goes for either side, support Ray or not support Ray, people still have interest in the program.

I love state basketball but damn its been really hard. I don't know if its Ray or letting go of Stans but it has been beyond difficult for me to find interest in it the past few seasons.

I agree, but regardless of who is there and what our records are I will pretty much always have interest in the big programs.

I was beyond done with Stansbury when he left. I was tired as frick of watching our basketball team fall short of expectations year after year with a fricking goon squad.

That it is.

I was just thinking though, how the frick did Stansbury end up with a more loyal part of our fanbase than Polk? I mean Jesus. Of course there were people that were upset, but most came back fairly quickly, you know before Cohen started winning games.

I guess because baseball is outside and you can drink, so maybe that's why baseball never lost the students.

They're giving away free shite and feeding people at the basketball games and still can't get anyone to come.

What?

Brady just beat Ray with a shite squad. How is it that he wouldn't have been a better choice than Ray?

You recruit shooters, you don't make them. You might can slightly improve mechanics to make someone a little better shooter but for the most part shooting is a gift. A guy either is one or he is not one.

Because Stansbury was a very likeable social guy. MUCH moreso than Polk. But just like with Cohen ALL would be forgiven if we could start winning. Doesn't look like that is going to happen for Ray at this stage though.

I mean he's had decent success at Ark. State, but he isn't a guy that I would want to lead my program. Would've been a sexier hire than Ray however.

You shouldn't use the word "sexier" when discussing Brady. (i.e., too much time with the split ends and not enough time with the ball carriers.) Dude's been married more times than I've been to Memphis.

Fify. Seriously, our last two coaches don't know how to beat a zone. It's sad. You can't just rely on shots to go in
