While I think Brice would have a good chance to hold onto the job, it will be a battle. Eason is an unreal talent.
If Brice does hold onto the job, he'll be a high draft pick, imo.

I like ya man but this statement is completely retarded. There are tons of kids who get offered early, commit and stay solid, and attend camps. Just because a guy has been committed a while doesn't mean he's going to start until he leaves school.
Hell, Eason is a junior in HS and has already shut down his recruitment, and is far more highly touted than Brice was. Does that factor into the equation? No, it doesn't. When they're both on campus they'll both compete to start and whoever is better will win, simple as that. If Eason is better, he'll start.

ok...i will drop my SthGa/Camden/BR homerism for a sec and discuss this with you....

how often has this happened under CMB/CMR except for the staff/joet situation?...where an upperclass qb is unseated by a freshman?...i dont give a flip how talented eason is or will be when he gets on campus...he will not have the time and the experience that BR will have had by that time...no way just cause he is some phenom he will unseat a proven starter as long as CMR has the helm...period...
he (eason) will be preserved and further groomed for the position when it opens...and like i said this is the formula so that we dont end up where we were in those seasons...so we keep reloading at qb every couple of years...

I agree, if this turns out to be the case regarding Ramsey. I do think they'll start whoever they feel is better for the team though.

i agree...but my point is that we have no track record..outside of the joe T situation.... where they felt a freshman was better for the team than the proven guy or the one who has longevity in the system...i believe that BR is more talented than HM...but that doesn't mean BR was better for the team....HM had time in the system and had maturity this year that BR didn't have...im saying the same situation will apply in a few years to Eason/Park/Ramsey...maybe Eason is the next Peyton Manning, but if he isn't emotionally/mentally ready and mature enough to lead the dawgs on the field, he will wait until he is...

Dude. We know.

That's completely irrelevant since what happened a decade ago doesn't affect 2016. Also it's hard to compare apples to apples in this thing because we haven't had a QB of eason's caliber other than stafford.

We're almost saying the same thing....I don't think eason will come in and be handed over the keys either. NO true freshman...not stafford, not murray, etc...is capable of playing at a high level in the SEC in our system off the bat. I'm not saying that eason will start by game 2 or 3 or whatever JUST because he's highly ranked. What I'm saying is that because of everything in eason's favor, it won't be long until he is the better QB. No idea how long it'll take. But I think we know that he is THE guy eventually, and I think he'll be given equal chance to prove himself.

Hmmm, then who was the #12 playing QB for us this season?
Nobody is crowning anybody the next heisman winner bub, not sure what angle you're taking here.

yall are trying to crown the future of the program. wasnt thinking about ramsay but the conversation is still retarded. nobody knows how theyll develop

Might be hard to believe but there are SOME times where you can look at a guy at the stage he's at and realize that he's prooooobably gonna end up being pretty good. Kiper said Stafford would be the #1 overall pick while he was still in high school, and lo and behold he was. Sometimes guys have "it" and it's evident early on. By all accounts eason is in that same mold.
Nobody is crowning his arse, all we're saying is that it appears pretty damn likely he's not gonna take a redshirt and then sit out another year after that waiting his turn.

Didnt christian lemay have "it" too?

Not particularly. He was thought to be a good prospect, but not like Eason
ETA: or Ramsey, for that matter

Not particularly. Just because someone was a 4* doesn't mean they're going to be the next big thing. Jacob Park was fairly well regarded out of HS too and he'll never play a meaningful snap for us (barring injury). Not sure what you're struggling with here....with guys like stafford, tebow, et al you can pretty easily tell early on that they're going to be special. Eason is in that mold.
