This gives neckbeards everywhere hope. She's not ignoring you, she's actually wild about you but just a manipulative bish.

I have a lot of female students and they're the ones who showed me this article. I wasn't surprised that it existed, I was surprised that most of them admitted to doing it in the past.

Kind of made me

Of course I did. It's a lose-lose wager for the most part.

Guy likes you but has self-confidence: He's going to stop chasing and think you're disinterested.

Guy likes you but lacks self-confidence: He's going to come off as excessively pursuant and overeager and you (the female) are going to become disinterested in him.

Either way it's just a pitifully stupid game with no winners.

Playing games in general when it comes to relationships is just stupid, IMO.

Be real with folks and drama is diminished

That's what I mean -- it's just bizarrely sociopathic to deliberately deceive someone. Great way to start off your relationship.

I think this kind of behavior is a lot more prevalent than people know, though.

The trick is to learn how to recognize when they really like you and are playing games...then once you know you can turn their own games around on them.

Usually her eyes will give it away. Once you know, then it's just a matter of playing your cards right. You have to show her enough interest that she knows you like her, but you can't go chasing after her like a lost puppy. Get her hoping that you'll pursue her, get her hopes up. Give her some attention. If she starts playing the hard to get game, drop her like a hot potato. Don't be a dick, just wander off and ignore her. Talk to other girls casually, her jealousy will kick in and next thing you know she'll be chasing you

It all lies in how you play it off though...you have to come across as a relaxed and confident person. Never act like a dick or a player, you have to be that cool guy that doesn't give a shite. It's a fine line to walk but with the right moves you can break them of playing games pretty quick, just remain in control. Some may not bite, but many of them will.

Another strategy is to call them out on it. Acknowledge you've caught on to her game and put her on the spot to say yes or no.
