He's a great back, wish we had him (and he was committed to us for like, three years before he flipped ) but I'm curious as to your thoughts on the year he's having.

Better than you thought? Worse? Or about what you expected?

He's been underwhelming imo. Of course our line has a little to do with that but I expected better.

He doesn't get going very quickly, he doesn't play like a 241lb back, and I question his vision.

That said, he looked better at times last year, so maybe it is the classic Sophomore slump. I don't think he is as good as he was hyped to be after the Sugar Bowl, though.

About what I expected. 5 ypc.

We don't throw it to him enough and he was never a typical between the tackles runner

I was joking about the three years, but he was a Georgia commit for a LONG time before y'all turned him.

And look it up your own dang self.

Sometimes timid, sometimes shows immense potential.

I wish he'd pick a hole and just go. But I don't know what's going on. The line isn't getting the push like precious years, and most handoffs aren't in a downhill running scenario.

He's a good step slower or at his acceleration is slower but I'm not sure why. He also has a habit of trying to run around people instead of running thru them. He has gotten better since September, but you'd expect a 240 lb RB to be more physical than he's been this year.

Has not played as well as I thought. Line does not seem to be run blocking nearly as well this year as previous years though. Often times he's met with a gigantic wall of humanity with no where to run.

Ah frick it. Here ya go:

What could have been :-D

He was our franchise commit of that class for awhile, but we knew it would be a fight to keep him.

It was.

He would be about the 4th best back on our team.

In all honesty, we really could have used him last year and this. Heck, last year he would have been our feature back for half the season.

Meh, last year was an abomination. It worked out well for everyone.

We got TG3, Chubb, and Michel.

That could all be different if we had held on to Henry and I like our group just fine.

Ah, so you and I were basically on the same wave length.

I know a lot of folks expected Henry to break out this year and I haven't heard a whole lot about him. The concern was always whether he was TOO big (and therefore not so quick) which might hinder him as an every down back.

So - like you - I was curious as to how Bama-ites thought his season had gone so far.

He's looked inconsistent to me. Doesn't run with the power between the tackles that you'd expect for someone his size. Looks unsure and hesitant running. It seems crazy to say, but he's really more of a space player in a huge body. He's good in the screen game, and when he gets in space it's VERY tough for any one player to get him down. He just doesn't run very hard between the tackles. I miss Eddie Lacy.

I actually don't think speed is his problem. I think he's got plenty of that.

Would Henry have been better off at LBer?

Or is Running Back the best for him

I thought UGA wanted him as an LB

We wanted him to play whatever he wanted to play.

I think he would be a RB at Georgia, no doubt.
