How is Bama 3 spots better than State but Baylor is 2 spots worse than TCU, when the two pairs have played out almost exactly the same season?

This. and Strength of losses. Not too many people go into Bama and win. Losing by 5 really helped our chances.

TCU's resume is much better than Baylor when you pretend their head to head didn't happen. Not so with Bama and MSU.

Florida State has no losses and keeps moving down. Maybe if they keep winning, they'll get left out.

The ACC is shite. Close wins over shite teams doesn't mean shite.

Look at both set of teams' non-conference schedules.
Alabama >>> MSU
TCU >> Baylor

FS will most likely beat BC but I hope like hell they lose to Florida.

No chance Florida beats FSU. If he's smart, Jimbo plays the "disrespect" card the rest of the season so his team plays with a chip on its shoulder. Think the committee is trying to make a point that they don't want to follow the "poll" logic and FSI is unfortunately the test dummy

TCU has played and beaten the third best team in the conference, Kansas State. Baylor hasn't. TCU also played a quality out of conference opponent and baylor didn't.

You're probably right and they'll most likely win out. I understand the SOS argument but I wouldn't be happy with the committee if I was an FSU fan. I guess I can see both sides.

I guess I have a hard time making a case for any one-loss Big 12 team being considered for the playoff, especially over another one-loss team having to play a title game, since the Big 12 doesn't have a title game. But Baylor did beat TCU. However, TCU has played all but two games. Baylor still has three and could possibly lose, especially to KSU.
