You say that like it's a bad thing?

Oh heck no.

In fact, I'm very pleased that no one has mentioned him for a head coaching slot ... yet (he would be a great choice for Florida, but after Agent Muschamp they are going to avoid a Georgia connection like the plague ).

We need to enjoy Pruitt while we've got him. I don't think we'll have him longer than 2-3 years tops.

Thats a shame. I'd like to see him stick around.

Unless he realizes he's not a people person, and just saw Muschamp go down, and loves Athens enough to want to start a dynasty, and I may have been drinking.

I doubt it would happen like that, but the same overall outcome anyone should like

Im assuming we'd lose Bobo right. No way that guy would watch the job pass him by huh

Real talk why has bobo not gotten a crack or mention at at least a southern miss type job. he's been an SEC OC for what 8 years now. developed some pretty impressive passers. As many spots come open around CFB every year, this guys resume, stability..what

And this year - with a new QB, without the top player in the country (for the most part) we are outscoring everyone in the conference.

And Bobo never gets a mention for an HC slot.

Okay.

I was kidding mostly (atleast about the VT part).
It's early but I like what Pruitt represents. Would frickin hate to lose Bobo at any point. Seems like we are primed for the next few years as long as both Pruitt and Bobo stick around. Makes me MUCH more optimistic for the next couple of seasons.

Bobo hasn't pursued those types of jobs in the past.

My guess is he figures the best shot he has at the Georgia job (or similar) is to hang around at Georgia.

Alot of these coordinators dont pursue openings but it doesnt stop the offers from coming. these guys are commodities. one day theyre apple and next theyre napster. nine yrs ago malzahn was a HS coach. five yrs ago morris was, betting he wont be at clemson next year

Just saying. not tearing him down. youd think some program would be jacked to have him. somewhere

That's true, but I don't think he's really even gone through with interviews elsewhere. I don't know. Maybe part of it is that Bobo is a pro-style guy schematically. That's not that appealing to programs that don't recruit at a high level

Speaking of Bobo, someone behind me at the game Saturday complained about him the entire game. shite got old real fast.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bobo wanted to hold out for the UGA job. So many people don't realize how valuable he is to this program. What he's done with our offense has been amazing considering that, aside from this year, he hasn't had an OL to work with. And we've had injuries to at least a starter at pretty much every skill position over the past 2-3 years.

I used to be a big critic of his but man he has grown into his job and is one coach I really hope we don't lose.

Being around a Bobo hater during a game is fricking nauseating. Every play that doesn't gain at least 10 yards is a waste and there's no reason we shouldn't put up 60.

He was complaining because we kept running it on the 98 yard death march.

And when Auburn's offense melted down, he was asking if they hired Bobo at halftime.

It was unbelievable. Of course they were some of the same people yelling while the team was lining up on 3rd down on offense so what can you really expect.

My favorite is when you have the same guy yelling "Run the ball Bobo!!!!" and then "Pass the ball Bobo!!" in the span of 3 plays. There's a reason our offense scores 40 points a game, and we are in the stands.

Exactly. I get frustrated with certain things the coaches do and it's easy to sit there after the fact and second guess people. But it's just like when people call in on the call in show and think they're gonna school Richt on football.

I complain at times but I realize there's a reason I pay to watch and they get paid to coach.

Play calling is an easy target for fan criticism because it's easy to find a complaint. There's always a play that didn't work if a fan wants to find something to bitch about.

You may have something there idk. But numbers supposedly dont lie. and we put as much offensive talent in the league as anyone. I know he doesnt dazzle anyone as a forward thinking offensive mind. we're more "this is what we do" depending on execution etc

Anyway. ive asked before. thought I'd ask again
