To help more children like two-year-old Jordan Kilgore, Wells Fargo is bringing “Picks for Kids” back to the gridiron this fall, to add to the $77,000 already raised for the care of ill and injured youngsters at Children’s of Alabama.

And this fall, to make it a statewide program, Wells Fargo has recruited Auburn to be part of the action.

For every interception made by either UA and AU, Wells Fargo will donate $1,000 to help children treated at the state’s only freestanding pediatric hospital. Cheerleaders and mascot Big Al from Alabama, which has been part of the program for three years, visited the hospital today to celebrate the new effort.

“Our caregivers would not be able to make the impact they do without partners like Wells Fargo, Auburn and Alabama,” said Mike Warren, President and CEO of Children’s of Alabama. “We truly appreciate their support in helping us continue improving the lives of Alabama’s children and we are happy to recognize their efforts.”

Thanks for 2 picks against Auburn and 3 picks against Bama... if it wasn't for you, these kids wouldn't have received nearly as much this season..

That hospital is great. They did all they could to help my son. Very good people there.

It is... indirectly it helped save my friend's son's life.

From your statement it sounds like your son may not have pulled through... if so... I'm truly sorry.

I could see a tear in his eye before he threw that pick to Nick Perry. He was clearly doing it for the kids.

Only in Al. would they help suffering children by donating money when other young people suffer on a football field.

Think about how nutty these people are..........Hey Dak...you just threw two picks and ruined your teams #1 ranking and your Heisman Trophy candidacy. We will donate money to the families of kids who are suffering in your honor.

Why not donate money for every child in Al. that has a BMI (body mass index) under 30 (obese)?
For every adult over 30 who still has all of their teeth?
Maybe after every loss they could offer to donate money if nobody gets killed by a crazed redneck.

Really people. Pathetic.

Some monster probably told Dak before the game that they'd pull the plug on one cancer kid for every TD he threw.
