He said he was leaving for he draft if he could be certain of 1st or 2nd round. Did the Bama game change that?

I say no. He will easily be in the 1st two rounds, therefore will he cash in like he said he would?

Will Mullen try to discourage him? I know that most of the good coaches encourage their star players to go to the draft if it's in their best interests. Is it in Daks best interests?

I would be pretty shocked if he is graded as a 1st or 2nd round draft pick. I would be happy for the guy though.

i think he should go. gonna lose a chunk of his OLIne, probably his #1 RB, #2 receiver, TE. The defense is going to be decimated based solely off of seniors leaving, so its not like they will be a contender again.

What makes him a first or second round pick? QBs like Dak have failed in the NFL(Tebow)

I'd say it's in any players best interest to go into the draft early, especially if they're going in the first two rounds. Football careers are short. Gotta collect that money as soon as possible. Plus they can always go back and finish school after the NFL.

he is a right handed tim tebow. whether he goes to the nfl this year or next, he won't be an nfl qb.

I don't have a clue where dak is projected in the draft...but 1 game out of a career (against one of the best teams/defenses/coaches in football) isn't going to change his stock heavily one way or another.

Les of a goofy throwing motion. But yeah, he may want to catch a pass or two at his senior day.

Day, Beckwith, and Clausal are seniors.
Eullis, Jones and Preston Smith are seniors too.

Robinson has 1000+ yards and RBs have a short shelf life. i doubt he returns to a rebuilding oline,

I don't see Dak grading out in the top 3 rounds and that was his criteria for leaving early. He was all-world the first few games but really hasn't had great games since; starting with Auburn. He was the difference in the Auburn game but that game started his interception run.

PJ Jones doesn't play as many snaps as Chris Jones, plus upgrade.

I seriously doubt he leaves.

We will have more returning, and better talent returning, than what leaves.

He'll have an interesting decision to make... he's not gonna be drafted in the first three or four rounds, but msu loses a boatload of seniors... can he improve his draft stock next year if/when state slides back to 7-5/8-4?

He's a below average passer.... that's probably not gonna change even with another year.

Your Dline is one of the strength of your team, and losing 3 guys out of the rotation, who contribute in big ways, isn't going to make the unit better.

Also losing a few good linebackers, and what 2/4 of your DBs?

He will be a second string tight end in the NFL.

Fans think players feel the same way about the team that they do. Players love the school but not enough to skip the money the NFL offers. He gone.

Finding replacements for Preston Smith and Matt Wells will be the key to how our defense performs next season.

We have the DTs to fill in easily. We need to find a pass rusher comparable to Smith, and a hybrid LB that can do what Wells does.

Replacing Matt Wells is going to be extremely difficult, but everywhere else I feel better about what will be there next year than what was there this year.

Dak is not going anywhere. He is nowhere near being ready for the NFL
